All events start the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm unless otherwise specified.
November 18, 2008:
- Wende Deoliveira of the Avian Conservation Center will talk about rare Cockatoos
- Annual Pet Bird Photo Contest - Categories and Rules
- Election of officers for the 2009-2010 term
- Those who signed up to exchange Christmas gifts with our sister club, The Aloha Parrot Association, in Hawaii, to please bring your gifts, pictures of your birds, handmade cards, etc., along to this meeting.

We just wanted to remind those who signed up to exchange Christmas gifts with our sister club, The Aloha Parrot Association, in Hawaii, to please bring your gifts, pictures of your birds, handmade cards, etc., along to the November 18, 2008 meeting. Kim will also be bringing a camera along to the meeting to take a group picture of our club members to send to them as well. The Hawaii club had their November meeting this past Sunday and have collected their gifts and are in the process of packing them up to ship to us.
The following is from their e-meeting reminder and it gives a sampling of what they will be sending us:
"Nov. 9th Meeting Agenda: We will prepare our box to ship to our sister club in York, PA at this month's meeting. Every member please bring a small contribution from our club to theirs, items can include Hawaii related goodies (mac nuts, chocolates, etc) to bird toys, books, etc., anything to share with our sister club. They will be returning a box of goodies for our club which we will open at our December party. Please write a note, attach a picture of your flock or add something unique to your contribution."
December 2008: Christmas Party & optional gift exchange with our Sister Club in Hawaii.

There will be no meeting at the regular place this month.
January 15, 2008: Join us for an evening of fun as we make *Climbing Nets* for our birds.
March 18, 2008 - Dr. Laurino will be speaking to us about the nutritional value in food - vegetables, fruits, breads, etc.
April 15, 2008: movie night (new event). We watched Paulie and it was really fun.
May 20, 2008: Sue Brown from Browns seed (unfortunately Sue had to reschedule).
June 17, 2008: time slot for annual picnic (didn't have this year)
July 15, 2008: Miki Sparzak from Heaven's Heathens (Presentation on Amazons and Parrotlets)
August 19, 2008: Annual Birthday Bash!!!
September 16, 2008: Liz Wilson - "How to keep your bird out of a rescue" ending with "what to do with your bird when you pass away".
October 21, 2008: Wende Deoliveira---Avian Conservation Center. Rare Cockatoo's (Wendy couldn't make it)
